Related question: Is using ADV and PRO reppers efficient WP wise? Pecifically, are WP based on amound healed, meaning that i get the same WP quicker, or on duration of healing, meaning that better reppers yield less WP per wounded soldier? |

To your point I have proto reppie that allows me to repair 2 players/vehicles at one time, also I lay proto hives with armor and ammo replenishing simultaneously. My needle does not bonus wp based on it being adv or proto. So yeah higher reppie gun does more healing from farther away and 2 at a time for added wp. Thank you but i think i'll have to rephrase my question:
Let us assume, for the sake of the argument, i repair a heavy for 500 total hp over the course of 20 seconds (25/s) and i gain 150wp doing so.
Now i decide to use a proto repper healing 50/s(to keep things simple), thus cutting the repair time in half. Will i get the same 150wp in half the time (based on repair amount) or 75 (based on repair time)?

Perun St0rmbringer wrote:I will probably regret telling this, but repping in terms of WP gain is broken. It gives WP per cycle, not per amount healed. So if you were so inclined, you'd be better off repping with militia reppers, since they need more cycles to repair.
At the same time, it is very gratifying to have two streamer repping two people at once. Mind you, this also paints a giant target on you.
The close range super high rep gun is also pretty awesome. It's power is that it can keep the person you are repping alive for much much longer under fire. i.e. you can turn a heavy close to invincible, provided they are smart enough to try and keep enemies off you whilst you rep them. And the longer person stays alive, the more WP you gain. So everything is relative The cynical part in me made me expect this to be the case. Thanks for clearing it up.
I totally agree with your last paragraph. That's why will keep focusing my logi skills on reppers. Thanks again. |
